We are trying to make hosting boring and predictable
The exciting thing should be your business, not your server. A good provider goes unnoticed, because it leaves you nothing to solve.
Six principles
These are not marketing lines; they are the shape of how the product is built. Each corresponds to concrete behaviour you can point at.
The price is the price
The figure on the storefront includes tax and does not change at checkout. Showing a large net price and adding tax at the last step is a common technique; we do not use it.
No surprises at renewal
If a price is going up we email you at least 30 days before the renewal. There is no cheap first year followed by triple the price in the second.
What "unlimited" means
We do not meter disk or traffic. What is unlimited is hosting space; using the server as a backup store falls outside that, and we say so up front.
Support is a real person
Someone with access to the server looks at your ticket. We aim for an answer that solves the problem rather than a copy-and-paste reply.
Migration is our job
If you are coming from another provider, we do the migration and we do not charge for it. Your site does not go down during the move.
No lock-in, your data is yours
You are not tied to an annual commitment; turn renewal off from the panel and the service ends at the close of the term. You can download your data whenever you like and take it to another provider — we do not make leaving difficult.
Why another hosting company?
The hosting market is crowded. Even so, the three things users complain about most have not changed in years: a surprise price at renewal, resources described as unlimited and then restricted, and copy-and-paste replies to support tickets.
None of those is a technical problem; they are commercial choices. We make a different choice: we show prices with tax included, we warn before an increase, and we write down up front where the limits are. On the surface these look like competitive disadvantages, but they are what keeps customers over time.
We follow a similar plainness on the technical side. Our servers run on NVMe storage behind nginx and we use Plesk as the control panel. ionCube Loader and PHP version selection are ready on every plan; commercial software protected with ionCube is common, and making that a feature you have to request separately makes no sense.
On the virtual server side we use KVM virtualisation. Container-based solutions are cheaper to run but leave you exposed to a neighbour’s load affecting your performance; promising dedicated resources and then doing that would not be honest.
We are a small team and we do not hide it. The advantage is that the person reading your ticket knows the server. The disadvantage is that we cannot answer equally quickly at every hour. We write down plainly on the support page how long we take in which situation.
Things we say out loud
A provider telling you what it cannot do is more informative than one telling you what it can.
Virtual servers are unmanaged
The operating system, updates and application installs are yours. If you want a managed service, our hosting plans are the right choice.
A snapshot is not a backup
Snapshots are kept on the same infrastructure and are not sufficient on their own in a disaster scenario. For critical data we recommend a separate backup.
Do not send bulk email
Email hosting is for correspondence. Newsletters and campaigns require IP reputation management; you should use a dedicated service for those.
SSL alone is not security
A certificate only encrypts transmission. Weak passwords and unpatched plugins remain risks; security is a shared responsibility.
Unlimited has a limit too
We do not meter normal web use, but using the server as a file store falls outside the scope. If that happens, we talk to you first.
We cannot solve everything
Debugging an application you wrote yourself is not within our support scope. What we will help with is telling whether the cause is the server or not.
